Torquay and Bells Beach eagerly welcomes back the 59^th RIP CURL PRO after a two year absence.

Trials were held on Thursday April 7^th proving fruitful for local interest with local Jan Juc surfer, Tully Wylie nabbing a spot in the Round 1 line up of the PRO. Californian Alyssa Spencer was grateful to gain of the final spots in the female line up.

On Friday April 8^th surfers gathered on Djarrak (Bells Beach) on Wadawurrung Country for Welcome to Country and smoking ceremony led by Corrina Eccles and Yorta Yorta Anthony Hume.

The community waits in anticipation of the role Jan Juc surfers India Robinson and Tully Wylie perform in the line-up.

Will Kelly Slater or Mick Fanning have the impact they hope to deliver or will our local talent show them how its done? Let the waves and swell decide!!
